偏頭痛とカイロプラクティック

頭痛とセボネ、そして脳との関係

「偏頭痛は体質だから仕方がない。」「薬で抑えながら付き合っていくしかない。」そう思っている方も少なくありません。長年悩んでいると、「もう仕方がない」と思ってしまうことがあります。

しかし、脳とセボネという視点から見ると、まだ見落としている可能性があるかもしれません。

もし偏頭痛に悩んでいるなら、一度ご自身のセボネと神経系の状態を見直してみる価値はあるでしょう。偏頭痛は単純な問題ではありません。近年の研究では、偏頭痛は単なる「頭の中の痛み」ではなく、脳全体の働きと深く関係していることが分かってきています。

偏頭痛は「脳の過敏状態」

偏頭痛が起きているとき、脳は普段よりも刺激に敏感な状態になっています。

光がまぶしい。
音がうるさく感じる。
匂いに敏感になる。
吐き気が出る。

これは頭だけの問題ではなく、脳全体の情報処理が過敏になっている状態とも考えられています。

脳は常に大量の情報をセボネから受け取っている

私たちは頭痛があると、つい「頭の中に異常があるのでは?」と痛むところに原因を探しがちです。しかしその痛みは、頭の中に異常があるから起きているとは限らないのです。CTやMRI、EEG(脳電図)を撮ってみても、偏頭痛持ちのほとんどのケースは画像上も数値上も異常がみられないことが多いのも特徴です。

今の脳科学では、3ヶ月以上続く慢性的な痛みのほとんどは、脳が作り出しているものであることがわかっています。脳は一秒間に約400兆ビットの情報を、体の内部や周りの環境から常に受け、それを解析・処理しています。特に脳は、目・耳・皮膚などといった感覚器官はもちろん、”セボネ”からも絶えず情報を受け取っているのです。

特に首は、脳にとって重要な感覚情報の入り口です。
頭の位置。姿勢。重力との関係。身体のバランス。
こうした情報が常に脳へ送られています。脳はその情報をもとに、身体をコントロールし、環境に適応しています。

 偏頭痛持ちによくある共通点

研究では、偏頭痛を持つ多くの方に、首(頚椎)の機能低下や可動性の問題が見られることが報告されています。

また、私たちの臨床経験では、ストレートネック(スマホ首)やリバースネック(逆反りカーブ)、特に頭蓋骨と上部頸椎の位置関係に問題(上位頚椎サブラクセーション)をお持ちの方が少なくありません。

もちろん、「首が悪いから偏頭痛になる」という単純な話ではありません。偏頭痛には遺伝、ホルモン、睡眠、ストレス、カラダの長年の乾き(慢性的脱水症)など、さまざまな要因が関係していると考えられています。そして、首やセボネから脳へ送られる情報も、要因の一つである可能性が高いことも事実なのです。

セボネのはたらきとカタチの改善と偏頭痛

臨床では、カイロプラクティック・アジャストメントを受けた方たちが、

・偏頭痛の日数が減った
・痛みの強さが減った
・薬の使用量が減った

というケースが良く見られます。

数か月のケアによって、偏頭痛がほとんど消失した例も報告されています。まだ完全には解明されていませんが、現在の研究では、セボネから脳へ送られる情報の質が変化することが、偏頭痛の改善に関係している可能性が示唆されています。
